Michael Mochan, AKA Moke, and AKA Strike Master, is an O G eastside fisherman. Grew up in the bad section of Euclid, Moke turned to fishing to keep him out of street gangs and making rap videos. He found solace in fishing places like Moss Point, Neff Road and Gordan Park. When he turned 39 years old, he moved from his parents home to a far away city, North Ridgeville . He vowed to return one day to his roots!
On Tuesday, with the blustery November West Wind blowing, Michael heard Lake Erie calling him – Moke , Moke, Moke, AKA Strike Master, come fish. He trailered his boat up to his old familiar stomping grounds, Gordon Park.
Trolling around breakwalls and rocky points, using his Domka Custom UV painted deep diving Bandit lures, Michael picked a few nice Walleyes. A good pullback came when he applied a couple of Old School S-Turns to his trolling technique. The fish stayed hooked and was successfully netted. A nice 30” walleye.
Michael realized he had a good fish and scheduled to have it weighed as soon as he returned to the dock. He estimated the fish to be around 10 1/4 lbs and he wasnt to far off. The stout walleye weighed in at 10.54lbs Nice catch!
